Emergency Family Violence Services program

We are investing an additional $16 million through the Emergency Family Violence Services program to help provide critical support for Albertans by offering safety, shelter and connection when it’s needed most.

Through innovation, collaboration and facility upgrades, we are transforming the system to meet the needs of today.

Don’t flush your fish

Don’t flush your live pet fish or release them into rivers, streams, lakes, ponds or storm drains.

Instead return to a pet store or find a new owner.

Goldfish might seem harmless, but they are an incredibly destructive invasive aquatic species and pose significant risks to native ecosystems when left unchecked.

Call 1-855-336-BOAT to report any sightings and, where possible, provide a clear photo showing the fish’s entire body and fins for staff follow up.
